- • Weak or recessed chin (poor projection)
- • Short or backward-sloping chin
- • Asymmetry between left and right sides
- • Mild chin dimpling (“pebble chin” appearance)
- • Side profile imbalance with nose/forehead
- • Loss of jaw definition where chin meets jaw
Important limitations

- • Heavy jowls (different problem entirely)
- • Deep marionette lines (filler in different area)
- • Severe chin recession requiring orthognathic surgery
- • Skin texture or pigmentation issues
Chin filler before and after timeline
- 1
Day 0 — immediately after
A contour change and swelling may be visible immediately. The early appearance is not a reliable final result.
- 2
Week 1 — settling
Swelling or bruising may be settling, although recovery can take longer. Follow the individual aftercare supplied.
- 3
Around week 2 — early review point
Standardised clinical photographs may help review change after early swelling has reduced. Some effects can take longer to settle.
- 4
Week 4 — review
Review the result, side effects and whether the original goal was met. More filler is not automatically required.
- 5
Later reassessment
Any later treatment should follow a fresh assessment of remaining filler, benefit, risk, cost and preference.

FAQ
Why would I want chin filler?+
Some adults ask about chin filler because of projection, contour or asymmetry concerns. These are personal preferences, not defects that require correction. Assessment should include anatomy, dental or skeletal factors, alternatives and the option not to treat.
How much chin filler do I need?+
There is no universal volume. Anatomy, previous filler, product and goal all matter. Dr Niru may discuss a conservative staged plan, referral for another opinion or no treatment after assessment.
How long does chin filler last?+
Duration varies by product, placement and individual response. Product information may give an estimate measured in months, but a specific duration cannot be guaranteed.
Will chin filler change my smile?+
Treatment near the chin and lower lip can cause temporary effects and, less commonly, an unwanted functional or visual change. Anatomy and material risks must be discussed; no practitioner should guarantee that expression or speech cannot be affected.
How is chin filler different from chin implants?+
An implant is a surgical option assessed by an appropriately qualified surgical team; filler is a temporary injectable option with different benefits and risks. Filler is not automatically the right starting point, and significant skeletal concerns may need another professional opinion.
Can chin filler give me a sharper jawline?+
Changing chin contour may alter the appearance of the lower-face profile in a suitable patient. It cannot guarantee a sharper jawline, and adding jawline filler is not automatically necessary or appropriate.
How much does chin filler cost?+
The Azim Clinic's launch price has not yet been approved. Confirmed public prices for non-prescription services will be published before bookings open, with the product, amount, inclusions and individual total confirmed before treatment.
Is chin filler reversible?+
Corrective options depend on the product and situation. Some hyaluronic acid filler may be reduced using a separate prescribed procedure, but that has its own risks and cannot guarantee restoration of the previous appearance. Filler should not be described as fully reversible.
