How is Profhilo different from fillers?
Fillers add localised volume to a specific area (cheek, lip, chin). Profhilo does not add volume — it spreads beneath the skin and bio-remodels it, stimulating your own collagen and elastin. Filler changes shape; Profhilo changes skin quality. They are complementary, not interchangeable.
What are the disadvantages of Profhilo?
Three honest disadvantages. (1) Subtle by design — patients expecting visible 'transformation' are often disappointed. (2) Recurring — maintenance every 6 months is part of the deal. (3) Five tiny bumps appear at the injection sites for 24-48 hours, occasionally with mild bruising. It is one of the most well-tolerated injectable treatments, but the subtle result is the most common reason for disappointment.
