Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 27 April 2026
We want everyone to be able to use theazimclinic.co.uk comfortably. This statement explains the accessibility standard we aim to meet, what is currently working well, and what to do if you find something that isn't.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 to Level AA. This is the international standard recommended by the UK Government Digital Service for public-facing websites.
What works well
- The site is navigable using only a keyboard.
- Text resizes up to 200% without breaking layout.
- Pages are responsive on mobile, tablet and desktop.
- Alt text is provided for meaningful images.
- Colour contrast meets WCAG AA on body text.
- Heading structure is logical (one H1 per page, descriptive H2/H3).
- Forms have associated labels and inline validation messages.
- Focus indicators are visible on interactive elements.
Known limitations
We're honest about what we haven't yet perfected:
- The Google Maps embed on the contact page may not be fully navigable by all assistive technologies. The clinic address and phone number are also provided in plain text on the same page.
- Some decorative imagery uses gold-on-cream tints that may have lower contrast than body text. Decorative-only elements do not need to meet contrast minimums under WCAG, but we're reviewing where we can improve.
- The downloadable PDF generated by the Treatment Quiz is a basic layout. If you would prefer the same content as accessible HTML, email us and we will send it.
Alternative formats
If you need information from the site in an alternative format — large print, plain text, audio, or read aloud over the phone — please contact us:
- Email: hello@theazimclinic.co.uk
- Phone or WhatsApp: 07413 812 129
We will respond within 5 working days and will not charge for providing information in an alternative format.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you find a barrier on the site, please tell us. Email hello@theazimclinic.co.uk with:
- The page URL where the problem is
- What happened and what you expected to happen
- The browser and assistive technology you're using (if known)
We aim to acknowledge your report within 5 working days and to fix or respond with a workaround within 30 days.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. If you are not happy with our response, contact the EHRC via equalityadvisoryservice.com.
