Skin Boosters Aftercare

Skin boosters involve multiple micro-injections across the treatment area. Recovery is quick, but following aftercare properly maximises your glow.

First 24 Hours

The most important window for optimal results

  • Tiny bumps at each injection point are normal — they resolve over 24-48 hours
  • Mild redness fades within hours
  • Use only gentle, fragrance-free cleanser on the area
  • Avoid makeup for 12 hours
  • Stay well hydrated — drink extra water
  • Cool compress if any discomfort

First Week

  • Bumps resolve within 48 hours
  • Any mild bruising fades in 3-5 days
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • No saunas, steam rooms, or sunbeds for 48 hours
  • No facials or active skincare ingredients (retinol, acids) for 7 days
  • Initial glow is visible within days, improves over weeks

Long-Term Care

  • Course of 3 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart, for optimal results
  • Peak result 2-4 weeks after the final session
  • Maintenance treatments every 4-6 months sustain the effect
  • Works brilliantly alongside Profhilo and medical-grade skincare

What to Avoid

  • Touching or pressing on injection points
  • Active skincare (retinol, vitamin C, acids) for 7 days
  • Saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds for 48 hours
  • Strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • Other facial treatments for 1 week

When to Contact Dr Niru

Rare, but important to know. Contact us immediately if you experience:

  • Bumps persisting beyond 48 hours
  • Severe redness or pain
  • Signs of infection: warmth, pus, fever
  • Rash or itching (possible allergic reaction)

Common Questions

How quickly will I see results?

You'll notice improved hydration within days. The main radiance and texture improvement builds over 2-4 weeks and accumulates through the course.

How long between sessions?

2-4 weeks between each of the 3 sessions. Dr Niru will schedule these for you.
