Profhilo and skin boosters are both injectable treatments that improve skin quality, but they're often confused. Here's how they differ and which might be right for you.

What Is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a bio-remodelling treatment that contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available. Rather than filling or adding volume, it spreads beneath the skin to stimulate your body's own collagen and elastin production.

Best for: Skin laxity, loss of firmness, ageing skin on the face and neck.

Protocol: 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart. Only 5 injection points per side of the face.

Results: Firmer, tighter skin with improved tone and hydration. Results build over 4-8 weeks after the second session and last approximately 6 months.

What Are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters deliver micro-doses of hyaluronic acid throughout the skin to deeply hydrate from within. They improve overall skin quality, texture, and radiance.

Best for: Dehydrated skin, fine lines, crepey texture, dull complexion.

Protocol: Usually a course of 3 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart, with maintenance every 4-6 months.

Results: A hydrated, dewy glow with improved texture. Results are visible after the first session and build with each treatment.

Key Differences

Profhilo remodels the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin — it's about firmness and structure. Skin boosters hydrate the skin from within — they're about glow and texture.

Think of it this way: Profhilo tightens, skin boosters hydrate.

Can You Have Both?

Absolutely. Many patients benefit from both treatments at different times. For example, a course of Profhilo to address skin laxity, followed by maintenance skin booster treatments to keep the skin hydrated and glowing. During your consultation, Dr Niru will recommend the best approach for your specific concerns.
